The Baseball United Foundation has been working hard to raise the profile of Irish baseball among baseball fans in America. This past week (August 9-13, 2015), we brought 17-year old Irish catcher Paul Carey over for one week at the Nike Baseball Camp at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
Paul’s trip to America was part of our Baseball Exchange program. We send equipment and coaches overseas and we bring players to America to provide them an opportunity to improve their game. A secondary goal of the program is to provide young players with skills and knowledge that they can share with their teammates as well as young players in their home country.
By the looks of things, Paul did a fantastic job at the camp and he seems very excited to share what he learned with young players in Ireland!
